Pilki FM is an internet radio station dedicated to bringing you comedy from the minds of Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington. The content is made up of 94 shows, averaging just under an hour each, originally broadcast on the London station Xfm 104.9 from 2001 to 2005. The content repeats 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing fans with a constant stream of comedy.
The station was first conceived by Pilkipedia member Gtpod, who has managed it independently to this day. Upon aquiring ownership of the Pilkipedia Network, efforts were taken to expand the station to make it an official venture that better serves the fans.
Originally, Pilki FM was broadcast from a house in Cornwall, England; after being temporarily been moved to Tokyo, Japan, it was taken offline for years due to lack of funding. However
thanks to renewed interest and an exciting opportunity, it has returned in November 2010.
Efforts to encourage the Pilkipedia community to contribute to the station have so far included our drive to receive radio jingles made by members in order to more personalise the station
for the fans. Contributions from various British and American comedians have been
confirmed and we look forward to getting them live in the playlist.
